Cash, jewellery worth lakhs robbed from trader’s house

LUDHIANA: Two armed men entered the house of a hosiery trader at Urban Estate, Jamalpur, by scaling the main gate and took away cash and gold jewellery worth several lakhs last evening.

Two armed men entered the house of a hosiery trader at Urban Estate, Jamalpur, by scaling the main gate and took away cash and gold jewellery worth several lakhs last evening. They held captive Tanvi, wife of hosiery trader Deepak Kalra, and her one-year-old son. The woman said the robbers threatened to kill her. Senior police officials reached the spot and started investigation. The CCTV cameras were being checked to get some clue about the robbers.
