A married man was allegedly killed with sharp weapons late last night. 

He has been identified as Vakil Chand. The body has been handed over to the kin after the post-mortem examination. 

A case has been registered on a complaint of the mother of the deceased against the man’s wife, mother-in-law and two brother-in-laws.

According to the police sources at Koom Kalan police station, the deceased was married to Nisha 15 years ago and had three daughters and a son. 

The husband and wife were not on good terms and often quarrelled with each other. It was on Tuesday that the wife left for her brother’s house at Paddi village after a quarrel with the deceased. 

She also threatened her with dire consequences, said the deceased’s mother. According to the complaint lodged by Maya Devi, the mother of Vakil Chand (aged 45 years), the mother-in-law of the deceased, along with his wife Nisha and two brothers-in-law Neela and Shabhu, entered the house of his son, who stays at a distance from the complainant in the same street and killed him with a sharp-edged weapons.

SHO Koom Kalan Devinder Pal Singh when contacted said the body of the deceased bore cut marks on the neck, armpit and chest. 

“The investigation is on. Meanwhile, the body has been handed over to the kin after postmortem examination,” he added.
