Arshdeep Singh (11), a city-based photographer, who won the Junior Asian Wildlife Photographer of the year award last year, has made his place in the top 100 child prodigies across the globe. He also recently received the Global Child Prodigy Award 2020 for his contribution and achievements in the field of sports.

Global Child Prodigy Awards 2020 were the world’s first initiative for the child prodigies that provided a unified platform to honour 100 child prodigies from more than 45 countries. The awards were given in 30 different categories like paleontology, biker, choreography, fitness, martial arts, artists, mathematicians, science, singers, musicians, entrepreneurs and others, who deserve to gain recognition at the global level.

Going wild with the lens is what drives this photography enthusiast. He built up his desire for photography from his dad who is also a wildlife photographer. His image of greater coucal that he clicked at Kapurthala helped him in bagging the Junior Asian Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award that he received in November 2019, in Tokyo, Japan. Arshdeep reportedly competed with 8,000 other entries in various categories. Having a keen ardor for photography he also possesses several other awards, including BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018; Junior World Comedy Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018 and Junior Asian Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018.

Kickstarting his enthusiasm when he was just five years of age, Arshdeep has travelled to over 10 countries around the world.

He received the Global Child Prodigy Award on January 3 by Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr Kiran Bedi.
