3,929 new cases, 45 deaths in Himachal

Shimla, May 6

As many as 3,929 Covid cases were reported in the state today, taking the tally to 118,729. Besides, 45 persons died of the virus in the past 24 hours.

Seventeen deaths were reported in Kangra, eight each in Solan and Shimla, five in Mandi, two each in Hamirpur and Kullu and one each in Una, Sirmaur and Chamba.

Kangra recorded the highest number of 1,009 cases, followed by 498 in Solan, 477 in Mandi, 400 in Shimla, 368 in Hamirpur, 316 in Bilaspur, 232 in Sirmaur, 206 each in Chamba and Una, 82 in Lahaul and Spiti and 20 in Kinnaur.
