The district on Tuesday reported four Covid positive cases

The district on Tuesday reported four Covid positive cases. The fresh cases are highest in the past few days. However, no fatality related to Covid was reported on Tuesday. With this the total active cases in the district have rose to 23. Total confirmed cases of the district at present are 63,360. As many as 1495 people succumbed to Covid-19 in the district, since its outbreak.
1 case in Kapurthala
The district reported one new Covid case. The district now has a positivity rate of 0.19 per cent. Kapurthala at present has 17,847 confirmed cases and seven active cases. Apart from that around 556 patients succumbed to the virus in the district.
One death in Hoshiarpur
One new Covid case was reported from the district on Tuesday, taking the Covid tally to 30,806 in the district. One death due to Covid from Hoshiarpur city was reported taking the death toll to 983. — TNS/OC
