The state government today allowed opening of the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) with 100 per cent attendance, subject to the enforcement of Covid-appropriate behaviour.

Fully residential universities will continue teaching through the online mode till further orders.

“The Mahamari Alert-Surakshit Haryana is extended in Haryana till October 18,” an order issued by Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan said on Sunday.

The district administrations have been asked to enforce Covid guidelines in view of the forthcoming festival season.

Besides, entrance and recruitment examination by universities, institutes or government departments and recruitment agencies will continue to be conducted.

The order also stated that action might be taken by universities to fully vaccinate hostel students, day scholars, faculty and other staff, including the outsourced ones, the order said.

Meanwhile, 11 new cases of Covid were reported in the state today. The number of active cases was 113.

So far, 9,874 persons have died of the virus.
