Panchkula, February 27

The Panchkula Health Department will start the next phase of Covid-19 vaccination on Monday, with inoculation of those above the age of 60, or above the age of 45 with co-morbidities that make them more vulnerable to the disease.

For now, it has been decided to conduct vaccination at all primary health centres and community health centres (PHCs/CHCs), polyclinic at Sector 26, Urban Health Centre, and in Sector 16.

Apart from this, eight private facilities empanelled under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) have been identified for the immunisation campaign. These facilities are Radha Devi Amravati Polyclinic, Ojas Super Speciality Hospital, Alchemist Hospital, Dhawan Hospital, Malik Medical and Diagnostic Centre, Navdeep Hospital, Raffles Hospital and Paras Hospital.

However, all aspects of the vaccination drive will be finalised tomorrow.

The CMO, Dr Jasjeet Kaur, said the target groups would be actively mobilised and brought to the selected vaccination centres.

“The vaccination training for health care workers who were not part of the first two phases will start on Monday,” she said. — TNS
