Prashant Veer, an uncapped Indian all-rounder cricketer who plays for Uttar Pradesh, has recently attracted attention for becoming the most expensive uncapped player in the IPL 2026 auction.

The 20-year-old left-arm spinner was a key focus in the recent IPL mini-auction, in which he was purchased by CSK for Rs 14.20 crore, a significant amount for an uncapped player, with a base price of Rs 30 lakh.

He was a major contributor to Uttar Pradesh's victory in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. He took three wickets and scored an unbeaten 37 runs off just 10 balls against Jammu & Kashmir.

In a Vinoo Mankad Trophy match in October 2022, he took three wickets (3/34) while playing for Uttar Pradesh against Chandigarh.

Prashant Veer also claimed three wickets in BCCI U-23 One-Day Tournament, 2023, helping Uttar Pradesh defeat Andhra Pradesh by 95 runs.
