The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Tuesday lashed out at the Modi government and the Delhi Police in connection with the alleged assault on Chief Secretary (CS) Anshu Prakash early this year saying that the charges will eventually fall flat in the court as in many other previous false cases.

The reaction came in response to summon by the Patiala House court to Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and 11 other ruling party lawmakers here over charges of attack on the CS at CM's official residence in February.

AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj alleged that the current Chief Secretary was posted in Delhi by the BJP-ruled Centre with a "clear brief of paralysing" the Delhi government.

Claiming that the entire chargesheet is a "part of a bigger conspiracy", Bhardwaj alleged, "The fake FIR by him (CS) and subsequent bogus chargesheet by the Modi government controlled the Delhi Police are parts of a larger design to malign the Delhi government."

Bhardwaj claimed "The Modi govt's Delhi Police filed so many bogus cases against the CM, Deputy CM and MLAs during the past three and a half years — all of which miserably fell flat in courts during trials. The latest fake case will also meet the same fate as those of previous cases."

Referring to the tremendous response to its recently-launched Doorstep Delivery of Services Scheme, the AAP leader said the pro-people agenda of the Delhi government is giving jitters to the Narendra Modi's Central government.

It is getting "insecure and during the past three and a half years the Modi government has left no stone unturned in troubling our government", Bhardwaj added.

The Patiala House court has summoned Kejriwal, Sisodia and 11 other AAP MLAs who have been named as accused in the chargesheet by the Delhi police in the CS assault case to be present in the court on October 25.
