NEW DELHI: BJP demands that contraceptive options must be prescribed to married women only and must only be available in government hospitals.

New Delhi, October 16

BJP demands that contraceptive options must be prescribed to married women only and must only be available in government hospitals.

In a letter written to the Union health minister JP Nadda and woman and child development minister Maneka Gandhi, Delhi BJP's spokesperson Parveen Shankar Kapoor urged that the contraceptive injection to prevent pregnancy should only be given to married woman and be available in government hospitals only.

He also asked the ministers to review the advertisements of contraceptive injection given on radios and incorporate conditions for their use. The injection should not be available in open market with a fear that it may be misused by the culprits involved sexual crimes. — TNS
