After 'Happiness Curriculum' introduced in its schools from this academic year, the government is relying on 'happiness therapy' for improving overall outcome of patient-care in its hospitals. After all a happy mind is a healthy mind. Drawn from experiences of Brazil and the USA, the pilot initiative was launched on Thursday by Health Minister Satyendar Jain. The new therapy will help in quick healing and better relationship between patient and hospital staff too.

“Happiness therapy involving medical staff and patients in group dance started at GTB Hospital, which helps in better healing, speedy recovery, increased harmony and bonding between staff and patients,” the minister tweeted. He said the therapy will include dance, music, songs, meditation, yoga and laughter under proper supervision.
