18th Dwarka Torchbearers Award ceremony recognises contributors
The 18th Dwarka Torchbearers Award programme was organised by Dwarka City at the CCRT Auditorium, Dwarka, to honour individuals who have made notable contributions to the development of the sub city.
Mukesh Sinha, head of the organisation, said, "people who made significant contributions in various fields in Dwarka, including police, water board, MCD, BSES, DDA, education and other sectors were honoured with the award."
The chief guest, Prof Mahesh Verma, VC of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, said “Dwarka has seen unprecedented development in the last decade and this journey of development continues.” Praising the award winners, he said that “they play an important role in Dwarka's progress.”
The organisation’s “Dwarka Directory” was also released, on the occasion.
