New Delhi, June 9
Councillors, MLAs and representatives of various women organisations in the city are conducting public meetings in their respective areas after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked them to get feedback on the proposal of free Metro and bus rides for women.
According to a survey, 95 per cent residents are happy with the scheme and are waiting for its implementation.
On June 7, the Chief Minister had discussed the proposal with public representatives and had asked them to reach out to people and get a feedback. He asked them to hold, at least, 1,000 meetings and submit the report within a week.
