AAP: Delhi Police aiding BJP in poll violations
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the Delhi Police of colluding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to manipulate the electoral process in Delhi. At a press conference, AAP leaders, including Chief Minister Atishi, Manish Sisodia, and Durgesh Pathak, alleged that the police were targeting whistleblowers while ignoring clear violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by BJP workers.
The controversy ignited after two youths in Kalkaji were allegedly assaulted by the police while filming BJP workers violating MCC guidelines. “Instead of acting against the violators, the police brutally beat up the boys and detained them for hours,” Atishi claimed.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal also condemned the authorities on social media, saying, “The official stance of the Delhi Police and the EC now seems to be to attack AAP, protect BJP’s hooliganism, and facilitate distribution of liquor, money, and goods.”
