AAP pushed Delhi 20 yrs behind, says LoP Iqbal
Raja Iqbal Singh, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Delhi Municipal Corporation, said that the BJP-led government in Delhi would prioritise addressing the ongoing issues within the civic body.
Singh promised that the BJP’s “double-engine government,” under the leadership of PM Modi, would swiftly resolve the financial crisis plaguing the Municipal Corporation and ensure timely payment of salaries and arrears to its employees.
He outlined that one of the first steps of the BJP government would be the formation of a permanent committee in the MC after seeking legal advice to expedite stalled development projects across the city.
He also emphasised that the BJP government would focus on eliminating huge garbage mountains at Delhi’s three landfill sites within a clear, fixed timeline.
In a direct attack on the AAP, Singh accused the Delhi Government of failing to improve the city’s infrastructure over the past decade. “The AAP has pushed Delhi 20 years behind. They made false promise of making Delhi as clean as London or Paris, but instead turned it into an urban slum.”
