Following the loss in the Delhi Assembly elections, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has called for a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and  MLAs at Kapurthala House in Delhi on Tuesday.

The AAP has suffered a setback, having lost its dominance in the Delhi Assembly after being in power for 10 years. While the BJP bagged 48 seats, AAP won 22 seats. The meeting with the Punjab CM, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs is expected to assess the recently concluded elections in the national capital and prepare a strategy for the Punjab Assembly elections in 2027.

AAP MP from Punjab Malvinder Singh Kang, while speaking to ANI, said, "The Punjab Government is running very well under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann. Arvind Kejriwal is our national convener and such meetings are held at regular intervals. The meeting will be held to discuss the Delhi elections and to prepare further strategy."

The call for meeting has raised eyebrows on the backdrop of the party's defeat in the Assembly elections. The BJP alleged that the meeting was aimed at ousting Mann from the post of Chief Minister. Meanwhile, AAP, in a statement on Monday, said that the agenda of the meeting would be to analyse the party’s shortcomings.
