The incident occurred around 5.15 pm near the Suzuki plant on SPR Road when the delivery boy and his co-worker were returning after deliveries in an Eeco van. According to police, two cars intercepted the van, after which several men dragged the delivery boy out, beat him and forced him into a vehicle.

The act was captured on video by a commuter and later went viral on social media.

Before the accused could flee, an emergency response vehicle (ERV) team reached the spot. The suspects panicked on seeing the police, who rescued the victim and arrested two of them. An FIR was registered at the Kherki Daula police station. The arrested accused were identified as Jaibir (26) of Barwas village and Aman (21) of Garanpura village in Bhiwani district.

During interrogation, the police said Jaibir claimed the victim was his friend and had allegedly stolen ₹6.5 lakh from his car in 2024. He later planned the kidnapping to recover the money.

The Police said the accused intended to extort money from the victim, but timely information from the victim’s co-worker helped prevent the crime. Further investigation is underway.
