Biggest liquor scam took place under Sisodia, AAP chief: Rahul Gandhi
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi took a sharp jab at the BJP and AAP during their campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections.
Attacking AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul said: “The AAP supremo had promised to change the politics of Delhi, but the biggest liquor scam took place under Manish Sisodia and Kejriwal.” He further alleged that AAP’s track record was marked by corruption and broken promises.
In her campaign at the Chandni Chowk and New Delhi constituencies, Priyanka Gandhi urged voters to focus on essential issues such as clean water, better roads, education and employment.
She criticised both AAP and BJP for distracting the public with personal attacks and divisive politics. “They are just trying to divert your attention by creating divisions…so you must think about what truly matters,” she said, encouraging the people of Delhi to make an informed decision.
Priyanka also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of using Jawaharlal Nehru as a scapegoat for India’s problems instead of addressing the issues faced by people.
Priyanka praised former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for her work in developing the city’s infrastructure, contrasting it with AAP’s record.
“Sheila Dikshit created infrastructure for Delhi, but AAP accused her of corruption. In the 10 years of AAP rule, they have failed to prove any corruption allegations against the Congress government,” she said.
The Wayanad MP said: “Today, Delhi residents can clearly see that Sheila Dikshit was the one who genuinely worked for the city’s progress. She brought real development, unlike the hollow promises made by AAP. Politics that seeks to divide people is driven by selfish motives, a strategy long adopted by the BJP.”
