While addressing the media after the meeting, he said the Delhi Assembly complex is a historic building. “In 2022, then Speaker Ram Niwas Goel discovered that one corner of this building had a ‘Phansi Ghar’ where freedom fighters were hanged,” he said.
Kejriwal said since the BJP government came to power, it had been trying to prove that it was not a ‘Phansi Ghar’, but a tiffin room. “There could be no bigger insult to freedom fighters than this,” he said.
The AAP alleged that when Arvind Kejriwal reached the Assembly, the Delhi Police stopped his personal security officer outside and did not allow them to enter the Assembly premises.
AAP workers and party MLAs also staged a protest outside the Vidhan Sabha after they were allegedly denied entry to the premises.
