BJP to raise sealing issue in winter session tomorrow

NEW DELHI:The BJP will raise 20 issues, including sealing, in winter session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly to begin from Monday.

The BJP will raise 20 issues, including sealing, in winter session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly to begin from Monday.

Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta said, “We shall raise 20 serious issues connected with the residents which include the ongoing sealing in the city, negligent attitude of the Kejriwal government in notifying the 351 roads, proposed hike in the power tariff, etc,.

Addressing a press conference here today Gupta said, “In a letter written to the Speaker of the assembly we have demanded that discussion should be held on the issue of sealing, power-water tariff, Metro, health and education services and the deaths due to cold weather conditions in the capital.”

Out of these 20 issues the prominent are the proposed hike in water and power tariff, additional burden on the people by imposing pension cess in the power bills, withholding social pension and approval of the IV phase of Metro and hindrance in the completion of III phase, non-utilisation of environment cess of Rs 1,000 crore in spite of serious pollution, politics in the funding of university and its colleges, betrayal in the field of education, etc,.

“We shall also raise the issue of connivance between Kejriwal government and the private hospitals, schools which has been proved in the case of Max Hospital and also the issue of failure of the government to fill the EWS quota in the admission to the private schools,” he said.
