The bodies of two sisters, in their 20s, were found in a drain in the Alipur, said a police official.
The women were missing since the evening of September 19 and a case was registered in this connection at the Seelampur Police Station in northeast Delhi, a family member said.
Deceased sisters were identified as 22-year-old Ruksana, who was married, and 20-years-old Nabina.
The sisters had left home saying that they were going to a bus terminal but did not return, following which the family approached the police, he added.
Police informed the family on Monday night about the recovery of the bodies of the two women in Alipur.
The family members are alleging that both the sisters were killed and then their bodies were dumped in a drain.
As per a senior police officer, the cause of deaths can only be ascertained after post-mortem report comes from Ambedkar Hospital, Rohini. Initial investigation revealed no injury mark was found on the bodies.
Woman’s body found
The body of an unidentified woman was found in a black plastic bag dumped at a vacant place in Nizamuddin.
According to police sources, the body was chopped into two parts.
The identity of the woman, who appeared to be a juvenile, is to be established. No identification documents or tattoos were found on the woman’s body. Meanwhile, police have arrested a person named Rizwan.
