Bomb threat at Delhi’s IGI Airport, turns out to be hoax 

According to Delhi Fire Service, a bomb-related call was received at 3.58 pm from the airport and multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot

Panic spread across the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here as a bomb threat was received that turned out to be hoax, a fire official said.

According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a bomb-related call was received at 3.58 pm from the airport and multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

A thorough checking was conducted on the premises and nothing suspicious was found, the fire department said.

According to an Air India Express spokesperson, “One of our flights to Varanasi received a security threat. In line with the protocol, the government-appointed Bomb Threat Assessment Committee was alerted, and all necessary security procedures promptly initiated. The flight landed safely, and all passengers have been disembarked. The aircraft will be released for operations once all mandated security checks are completed.” 

Similarly, an IndiGo official also confirmed that such a threat was received, and due procedures are being followed.
