A thorough checking was conducted on the premises and nothing suspicious was found, the fire department said.

According to an Air India Express spokesperson, “One of our flights to Varanasi received a security threat. In line with the protocol, the government-appointed Bomb Threat Assessment Committee was alerted, and all necessary security procedures promptly initiated. The flight landed safely, and all passengers have been disembarked. The aircraft will be released for operations once all mandated security checks are completed.”

Similarly, an IndiGo official also confirmed that such a threat was received, and due procedures are being followed.
