NEW DELHI:An assistant sub-inspector with the Border Security Force (BSF) was arrested for allegedly stealing a woman’s handbag containing ornaments worth Rs 15 lakh at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Tuesday.

New Delhi, July 11

An assistant sub-inspector with the Border Security Force (BSF) was arrested for allegedly stealing a woman’s handbag containing ornaments worth Rs 15 lakh at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Tuesday. 

The accused, Naresh Kumar, a resident of Haryana was nabbed with the help of CCTV footage in which he was seen taking away the handbag of the woman, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI Airport) Sanjay Bhatia. Stolen gold and diamond jewellery was recovered, said the officer. —PTI
