The extension will provide direct connectivity to the busy Botanical Garden interchange, linking commuters to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Blue and Magenta Lines. The project aims to strengthen integration between Noida, Greater Noida and Delhi, improving access to key commercial, educational and residential zones.

The corridor will connect major business hubs such as Advant Business Park (Sector 142), Skymark One Mall (Sector 98) and Mall of Noida (Sector 93), leading IT and corporate offices, including Microsoft, TCS, Adobe, Havells, Infosys and Cognizant, as well as educational institutions like Amity University and Panchsheel Balak Inter College. Healthcare facilities such as Max Super Specialty Hospital (Sector 128) and recreational spaces, including Botanical Garden and Sector 93 Park, will also benefit from improved connectivity.

Officials said the extension is expected to significantly reduce road congestion by offering an efficient alternative to private vehicles. Reduced traffic load is likely to improve travel time, road safety and fuel efficiency across the region.

The project is also projected to yield environmental gains by lowering carbon emissions through greater adoption of mass rapid transit. Enhanced Metro connectivity to transport hubs such as Delhi’s airport, railway stations and interstate bus terminals is expected to boost economic productivity and attract further investment.

The government said the expansion will improve equitable access to public transport, benefiting diverse socio-economic groups and contributing to better quality of life.

The extension corridor is seen as a major step in strengthening urban mobility infrastructure and supporting sustainable growth in the Noida-Greater Noida region.
