Addressing residents at the District Park in Pitampura, the Chief Minister said the milestone was not merely political, but a reflection of the people’s unwavering faith. Recalling her personal journey, the Chief Minister spoke emotionally about her childhood and formative years spent in the area. She said a simple girl travelling from Tri Nagar to Pitampura could never have imagined that the same streets would one day offer her the highest opportunity to serve Delhi. She described becoming the MLA from the area that shaped her childhood, identity and values, and later the Chief Minister, as a result of divine grace and the people’s love.

Reflecting on her political journey, she noted that electoral defeats never deterred her, as her bond with the people has always been built on trust rather than position. She termed the formation of a BJP government in Delhi in 2025 after 27 years as a victory of public aspirations, stating that it marked not just a change in power, but a decisive shift in the direction of development.

Sharing details of development works, the Chief Minister linked projects such as redevelopment of the District Park, new gates, fountains, toilets, footpaths and civic amenities to the dignity of the area and the daily happiness of residents. She also outlined upcoming initiatives, including proposed Rs 5,000-crore elevated road along Munak Canal, canal side beautification and Chhath Ghats, a modern auditorium, model schools, community halls, expansion of an Ayurvedic hospital, upgraded mother and child care centres and new sports complexes, describing them as historic steps for future generations.

Calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi her inspiration, she said his work ethic and energy constantly motivate her to serve. She said this journey goes beyond schemes and projects, and is driven by public trust, the dedication of party workers and collective resolve.

Highlighting coordination between the Centre and Delhi government, she said a strong financial framework had accelerated infrastructure development in the Capital. Referring to flyovers, roads, Metro expansion and the growing fleet of electric buses, she noted that Delhi is steadily moving towards a modern, clean and environmentally sustainable future.

In the closing moments of her address, the Chief Minister became visibly emotional, calling the residents of Shalimar Bagh her family. She said even after becoming Chief Minister, her identity in the area would always remain that of a sister, a daughter and a neighbour.

Reaffirming her commitment to continuous inaugurations, new schemes and faster development, she said this journey has only just begun, adding that the people’s love remains her greatest strength and the foundation for building a developed, compassionate and proud Delhi.
