Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday welcomed a series of decisions taken by the Union Cabinet, calling them “important and far-reaching” for the capital’s infrastructure, economic growth, and cultural advancement.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister expressed appreciation for the approval of the third and fourth railway lines on the Delhi-Ambala rail route, stating that the move would strengthen the Capital’s rail network and make passenger travel smoother and more convenient.

She also hailed the decision to transform the historic North Block and South Block into the grand Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum, saying the initiative would play a significant role in preserving Delhi’s cultural heritage and giving it global recognition.

Highlighting economic initiatives, Gupta said visionary policies such as the Urban Challenge Fund and ‘Startup India Fund 2.0’ would help modernise urban planning in Delhi and create new opportunities for the youth.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she expressed gratitude for the Centre’s continued support in the development of Delhi and for what she termed as welfare-oriented announcements aimed at the city’s long-term growth.
