The All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge of Delhi, PC Chacko today introduced all seven candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from Delhi to the media.

The Congress candidates - Sheila Dikshit (North East Delhi), Jai Prakash Agarwal (Chandni Chowk), Ajay Maken (New Delhi), Arvinder Singh Lovely (East Delhi), Mahabal Mishra (North West Delhi), Rajesh Lilothia (West Delhi) and Vijender Singh (South Delhi) - were present.

Dikshit said Congress president Rahul Gandhi had reposed faith in all the seven Congress candidates and that was the reason he entrusted the heavy responsibility on them to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Delhi.

They will make extensive campaigns in their respective Lok Sabha seats to have personal interaction with the people, and seek their votes and support on the basis of the Congress' solid track record of serving the people of Delhi selflessly, and for the unsurpassed development of the capital.

She said the party candidates were familiar with the people of Delhi as they had been serving the people for the past many years in various capacities.

She said the people of Delhi, who had always reposed their faith in the Congress to fulfil their aspirations, would once again elect the Congress back to power and there was no doubt about the victory of all seven Congress candidates in Delhi.

Other prominent party members present at the press conference were former DPCC president and Delhi Speaker Subhash Chopra, former Delhi ministers Mangat Ram Singhal, Ramakant Goswami, who is also the spokesperson, Kiran Walia, spokespersons Jitender Kumar Kochar (Jitu) and Harnam Singh, Rohit Manchanda and Onika Mehrotra.
