Cong meets LG over AAP’s ‘irregularities’

NEW DELHI:A delegation of the Delhi Congress Pradesh Committee (DPCC) today submitted a memorandum to Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal regarding the irregularities, nepotism and corruption in recruitment on various posts of the Delhi Waqf Board (DWB).

New Delhi, July 11

A delegation of the Delhi Congress Pradesh Committee (DPCC) today submitted a memorandum to Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal regarding the irregularities, nepotism and corruption in recruitment on various posts of the Delhi Waqf Board (DWB).

The DPCC delegation, consisting of spokesperson Harnam Singh, Parvez Alam, Ali Mehndi, Parvez Mohammed, Anzar-ul-Haq and Javed Choudhary, also brought to the notice of the LG a letter from former CEO of the DWB, Mohammed A Abid, alleging irregularities in handing over the board properties worth Rs 100 crore to unauthorised persons without following the due process.

They also sought the dismissal of Amanatullah Khan, chairman, DWB. —TNS
