Construction worker falls to death
Cops register case, probe on
A 32-year-old construction worker died after falling from an under-construction building in the Janakpuri area on Monday, the police said.
According to officials, a PCR call was received at Janakpuri police station regarding the incident. Police personnel rushed to Mata Channan Devi Hospital, where the victim, identified as Guddu Patel, was declared dead on arrival.
As per the medico-legal certificate (MLC), the probable cause of death has been stated as a fall from height during construction work. Preliminary enquiry revealed that the deceased was employed at the construction site and reportedly fell from an upper floor while descending.
The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently in progress.
