The accused, identified as Tushar Puniya, a resident of Khajuri Khas, came under the scanner after a video of the stunt went viral on February 16.

In the clip, he was seen riding a motorcycle without a registration number plate and opening the doors of vehicles, including a DTC bus, while moving through traffic.

Police said the act posed a serious threat to public safety. A case was registered at New Usmanpur police station after authorities took cognisance of the viral video.

A team was formed to trace the accused. Officers scanned CCTV footage from the area and analysed the video to establish his identity. He was later apprehended, and the motorcycle used in the incident was seized.
