Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for allegedly undermining the city’s social harmony and security, accusing its leaders of involvement in criminal activities and spreading false information.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Sachdeva called on Arvind Kejriwal and his party members to stop using divisive tactics for political gain.

Sachdeva’s comments came after a Delhi court refused to grant bail to AAP MLA Naresh Balyan, who was arrested under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) for his alleged involvement in organised crime in West Delhi.

Sachdeva linked Balyan’s arrest to a rise in criminal activities in the region, including extortion and looting, and suggested that such incidents were part of a broader pattern of criminal involvement by AAP leaders.

The BJP leader also raised concerns about AAP MLA Vinay Mishra, who has been accused of taking Rs 10 lakh from a Dalit woman in exchange for a promise of a municipal corporation ticket, which he failed to deliver.

When the woman demanded a refund, she allegedly faced threats and casteist remarks from Mishra.

Sachdeva claimed that the victims of other AAP leaders — such as Amanatullah Khan, Prakash Jarwal, and Akhilesh Pati Tripathi — continue to seek justice.

Sachdeva highlighted a disturbing incident involving a minor, who allegedly issued bomb hoax calls to 400 schools.

He suggested that the incident might be part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated by those with ulterior motives to destabilise Delhi’s atmosphere.

Sachdeva condemned AAP leaders for their use of fake videos, including deepfake AI content, aimed at defaming BJP leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He specifically mentioned a video featuring Arvind Kejriwal with BR Ambedkar, which he claimed had hurt Dalit sentiments.

FIRs have reportedly been filed against AAP leaders in connection with these activities.

Addressing Kejriwal directly, Sachdeva urged him to avoid using criminal tactics for political advantage.

“AAP is playing a dangerous game by disrupting Delhi’s social fabric for their own benefit,” said Sachdeva. “I appeal to Kejriwal to keep criminals and criminal mentalities away from politics.”
