Delhi BJP’s Holi Milan — a celebration of colours, tradition & new political era
Drenched in festive hues and joyous spirit, the Delhi BJP celebrated Holi with grandeur at its Holi Mangal Milan, marking not just the festival of colours but also the party’s vibrant return to power in Delhi after 27 years.
The event, hosted by the Delhi BJP Media Department at the state office, saw a lively gathering of top party leaders, including Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ashish Sood, and Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva.
The celebrations were nothing short of spectacular. For the first time, a live musical performance added a melodious touch as leaders and journalists swayed to the beats of traditional Phag songs, danced under showers of fragrant flowers and embraced the Holi spirit with sandalwood tilaks and gulal.
Over 500 journalists covering the Delhi BJP beat joined in, savouring the festive warmth and indulging in a lavish spread of Old Delhi’s iconic Holi delicacies — a feast that perfectly complemented the joyous atmosphere.
Welcoming everyone with open arms, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva expressed his delight at hosting such a grand celebration, saying, “Just as Holi fills our lives with colours, BJP workers must work towards filling the lives of Delhi’s citizens with happiness, prosperity and development.”
The festival was extra special for CM Rekha Gupta, who celebrated it as the head of the Delhi Government for the first time. She said, “Holi 2025 carries new meaning for us. It’s a reminder that our government is here to serve every citizen with fairness and dedication, ensuring the benefits of the double-engine government reach all.”
Adding to the cheer, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “After 27 years, we are celebrating Holi in the Delhi BJP office like this. I am confident that CM Rekha Gupta will lead Delhi toward development and prosperity.”
Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa summed up the emotion of the gathering, saying, “It is only natural to feel this excitement. After a long time, we have been given the opportunity to serve and transform Delhi, and this is a matter of immense joy for us.”
The event saw participation of senior BJP leaders, including Baijayant Jay Panda, Arun Singh, Anurag Thakur, Kamaljeet Sahrawat, Vijender Gupta and Nishikant Dubey, along with MLAs, municipal leaders, and party office-bearers, who all joined in the festivities with enthusiasm.
With colours flying, music echoing and a renewed sense of unity in the air, the Delhi BJP’s Holi Milan was more than just a festival — it was a celebration of togetherness, tradition and the dawn of a new political chapter in the Capital.
