Delhi CM Rekha Gupta orders weekly updates on Rs 5 cr-plus projects
CM informed officials that the ‘Delhi Mitra’ portal will be launched soon as a dedicated digital platform for faster and more effective redressal of citizens’ grievances
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday chaired a high-level review meeting with heads of all departments at the Secretariat to assess departmental performance, review the progress of ongoing projects and plan for the upcoming financial year.
The CM issued directions that all projects with a cost exceeding Rs 5 crore must be updated on the ‘CM-Pragati’ portal within one week. The move is aimed at ensuring close monitoring, time-bound reviews and regular oversight of major projects at the highest level of government. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Rajiv Verma, along with all departmental secretaries and senior officials.
Emphasising transparency and accountability, Gupta directed departments to regularly update progress reports of development works on respective portals so that citizens are informed about the actual status of projects.
She said the Delhi Government is committed to completing all projects within stipulated timelines and ensuring high-quality execution. Departments were also instructed to expedite the completion of pending works without compromising on quality.
The CM informed officials that the ‘Delhi Mitra’ portal will be launched soon as a dedicated digital platform for faster and more effective redressal of citizens’ grievances. She directed departments to complete all technical and administrative preparations, including staff training, testing and inter-departmental integration, within the prescribed timeline.
The portal, she said, will act as a direct communication channel between the government and citizens, making grievance redressal simpler, quicker and more reliable.
Ahead of the summer season, Gupta asked all departments to make advance preparations to ensure uninterrupted essential services. She stressed the need for timely measures to ensure adequate water supply, reliable power arrangements, robust hospital facilities, road maintenance and smooth delivery of civic services so that residents do not face inconvenience during the peak summer months.
