DSGMC to launch digital drive to spread awareness on Sikhism

NEW DELHI:The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) is all set to launch extensive digital campaign on the social media to bring awareness among the people specially the younger generation about the Sikh religion and lives of the Sikh gurus.



New Delhi, March 25

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) is all set to launch extensive digital campaign on the social media to bring awareness among the people specially the younger generation about the Sikh religion and lives of the Sikh gurus.

The DSGMC president, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the Sikh body was hiring services of technical teams as well as historians to accomplish the task. Under the proposed plan, the DSGMC will upload its material on social media sites regularly.

He said this would include short duration films on the Sikhism, about lives of the Sikh gurus, their teachings, about various Sikh scholars and general who had contributed for the society.

He said the DSGMC would specifically provide material with creatives about the scientific teachings of Guru Nanak Dev given 550 years ago and reality of that scientific teachings which the scientists were discovering today.

Sirsa said they would upload this material on Facebook, YouTube and other social media sites to bring awareness in the public specially the younger generation who is hooked to net almost 24X7. — TNS
