DU shines at youth festival, tops overall literary category

Students of University of Delhi (DU) have brought laurels to the institution by winning three first prizes at the Association of Indian Universities Inter University National Youth Festival held at Sathyabama University in Chennai. The university also secured the first position in the Overall Literary category.

The youth festival, organised by the AIU, witnessed participation from universities across the country in multiple cultural and literary competitions.

Anoop Lather, chairperson of the DU Cultural Council, said, “The youth festival was organised in Chennai. The students delivered outstanding performances while competing in 10 different categories, securing gold, silver or bronze medals in each one.” He also credited the university leadership for supporting cultural activities and student talent.

The university secured several top positions. It stood first in debate (English), debate (Hindi), and cartooning. The university earned the second spot in quiz, classical instrumental (non-percussion) solo, and western vocal solo.
