The Central Placement Cell (CPC) under the aegis of the Office of the Dean Students Welfare at the University of Delhi (DU) will organise a “Job Mela - Internship and Placement Drive” on March 20, aimed at connecting students with leading employers across sectors.
According to the organisers, the recruitment drive is being positioned as a major outreach initiative to strengthen industry academia collaboration while expanding career opportunities for students. The CPC said "It is pleased to invite companies and organisations to participate in the Job Mela scheduled to be held on March 20.”
Describing it as a flagship initiative, the CPC stated that the event “aims to provide a dynamic platform for reputed organisations to connect with a diverse and talented pool of undergraduate and postgraduate students from across disciplines.”
Officials added that the Job Mela seeks to “foster meaningful industry academia engagement while enabling students to access quality internship and employment opportunities.”
The placement drive will be open to recruiters from a wide range of sectors. Recruiters interested in participating have been asked to complete their registration through the official online form. “Recruiters are requested to register through the official link provided,” the CPC said, adding that the last date for registration is March 15.
The event is expected to see participation from students across streams, reflecting the university’s large and diverse academic base. Officials expressed optimism about strong industry engagement this year as well.
“The Central Placement Cell looks forward to the enthusiastic participation of leading organizations in making the Job Mela 2026 a meaningful and successful initiative,” officials said.
