DU to strengthen Hindi medium education

The Directorate of Hindi Medium Implementation, Delhi University (DU), organised the “Abhiprerana Program” at Sir Shankarlal Auditorium. The objective was to urge teachers and researchers to expand academic content in Hindi for higher education, in accordance with Article 351 of the Indian Constitution and the National Education Policy 2020.

The chief guest, DU’s Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh, said “Hindi is the language of the people, the language of the heart. It is the language of unity, culture and love.”

Prof Singh stressed “Original book writing in Hindi is essential, as a good writer makes a book interesting.” Drawing a comparison, he said “Making a good film and writing a good book are the same thing.” Raising concerns, he added “If school education is possible in Hindi, why not higher education.”
