Enforce ban on Chinese manjha strictly, says MP

South Delhi BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri has expressed serious concern over the continued sale and use of Chinese manjha in Delhi despite an existing ban, calling for strict enforcement and coordinated action by authorities to prevent further accidents and loss of life.

Bidhuri said the ban on Chinese manjha must be implemented rigorously, as its illegal availability continues to pose a grave threat to public safety.

He suggested that the administration and police should constitute a special cell to monitor and curb its sale. The BJP MP said he would raise the issue in Parliament. Referring to a notice issued by the Environment Department, he pointed out that Chinese manjha is completely prohibited in the national capital. Anyone found selling or using the banned manjha can face up to five years of imprisonment, a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh, or both.
