Ensure facilities for shelter homes inmates: Minister

NEW DELHI: Social Welfare (SW) Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam today directed the officials concerned of the government-run shelter homes at Hari Nagar’s Nirmal Chhaya Complex to ensure all items of need are made available for the inmates while warning that any irregularity in it will “be viewed seriously”.

Social Welfare (SW) Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam today directed the officials concerned of the government-run shelter homes at Hari Nagar’s Nirmal Chhaya Complex to ensure all items of need are made available for the inmates while warning that any irregularity in it will “be viewed seriously”.

Gautam during a surprise inspection of the Nari Niketan, Mahila Sadan and Asha Jyoti today appreciated that entry norms were strictly followed by the security staff and in doing so, they even asked the minister to wait till the arrival of superintendent.

The minister was accompanied by Secretary of the SW and WCD for the visit, interacted with the residents of the facility who appreciated the services like cleanliness, diet, vocational training, etc. — TNS
