Ensure maximum participation of unemployed youth in Rojgar Mela: Delhi Congress president

Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav on Tuesday inaugurated the official website of the Babarpur District Congress Committee and opened new offices for the Ramnagar and Nand Nagri Block Committees during a series of district-level party meetings. Addressing the executive committee in Babarpur, Yadav urged all blocks to ensure maximum participation of unemployed youth in the Rojgar Mela at Talkatora Stadium on June 19, being organised to mark Rahul Gandhi’s birthday.

Yadav said the initiative aims to connect at least 25 unemployed (having completed at least Class 12) youth from each Block with job opportunities, with online and offline coaching support being extended by the Delhi Congress and the Indian Youth Congress before June 15. He said training camps for party workers will be held between July 5 and 10 across all districts and blocks.

Reviewing grassroots organisation work, Yadav directed that the pending formation of mandalams and sectors in some blocks be completed urgently. He also called for finalising venues for anti-drug awareness campaigns, including dharnas and rallies to be held from June 25 to 30 in response to rising substance abuse among youth.

Criticising the BJP-led administration, Yadav said the so-called “triple engine” government had failed on all fronts — from law and order to civic services — leaving Delhiites grappling with rising crime, pollution, power cuts and displacement of the poor.
