A departmental inquiry has been initiated.
Police said the case was filed on November 15 despite the plot belonging to the victim, who continued to complain but was allegedly ignored. The 250-square-yard plot was reportedly the subject of collusion between the opposing party and the SHO.
The victim escalated the matter to Police Commissioner Satendra Kumar Gupta, who assigned the enquiry to ACP Central Rajiv Kumar. The investigation found Inspector Kuldeep Dahiya guilty.
Following the report, the SHO was suspended. Inspector Devendra, formerly with the Metro station, has been appointed SHO of Kheri Pul, while Inspector Manish takes charge of the Metro station. A senior officer confirmed that departmental proceedings have begun against the suspended SHO.
