Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s Rs 2.23 lakh crore budget for 2026-27 positions Faridabad as a primary engine of state growth. The centerpiece of the announcement is a massive Rs 1,500 crore investment in elevated corridors and flyovers, aimed at ending the city’s chronic traffic congestion. This is bolstered by the high-profile approval of a 64-km Namo Bharat RRTS-cum-Metro link, which would provide seamless transit between Faridabad, Gurugram and Noida, with 16 km of the alignment cutting through key hubs such as NIT and Bata Chowk.

Healthcare infrastructure in the district would be significantly enhanced. The Faridabad District Hospital would be upgraded from 200 beds to 400 beds and a Special Newborn Care Unit would be established in Ballabgarh to strengthen maternal and child health services. As part of a state-wide initiative, Swasth Nari Clinics and free dialysis centres are being expanded to every district, including Faridabad.

Under the budget, two major elevated corridors and several flyovers in the NCR region, covering Faridabad and Gurugram, have been approved with an estimated cost exceeding Rs 1,500 crore to ease traffic congestion. The Namo Bharat RRTS-cum-Metro alignment will connect Faridabad with Gurugram, Noida, and Greater Noida, with the Faridabad section covering approximately 16 km, spanning NIT, Bata Chowk, and Sectors 12 to 15 and linking with the Delhi Metro’s Violet Line.

Approximately 100 km of Faridabad city roads are earmarked for smart upgrades and strengthening. The city is highlighted as a key beneficiary of fresh investments in the automobile, electronics, and pharmaceutical sectors under the “Make in Haryana” policy.

As part of the "Fit Haryana" campaign, Faridabad is among 12 districts selected for the construction of 21 new sports stadiums. The Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has also proposed the digital procurement of 4,500 acres across 19 villages in Faridabad for new planned residential and commercial sectors.
