Haryana’s Industry and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, said that the development of the Farrukhnagar area was being given a new direction under the new master plan. Rao Narbir was addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone for the road construction work from Farrukhnagar to Daboda Mor in the Farrukhnagar area on Sunday. According to him this road has been a major demand of local citizens. “The construction of this road will not only streamline traffic but also reduce accidents. The government is fully committed to the overall development of the Farrukhnagar area, and the long-pending demands are being met in a phased manner. In the new master plan, development works related to the Farrukhnagar bypass, bus stand, sewerage system, drinking water supply, and electricity will be completed on a priority basis,” Narbir said.

He added that in view of the increasing traffic congestion on the Gurugram-Farrukhnagar road, the construction of a bypass at Chandoo and the four-laning of the road from Chandoo to Farrukhnagar would begin soon. He stated that there were some technical difficulties due to the presence of the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary in the area, but these will be resolved quickly.
