Four arrested for assaulting 2 in JJ Colony

Four persons were arrested within an hour of allegedly assaulting two persons following a quarrel in Wazirpur’s JJ Colony area of north-west Delhi, police said on Friday.

According to police, a PCR call regarding a quarrel at K-Block of JJ Colony in Wazirpur was received at Bharat Nagar police station on March 12. A police team rushed to the spot and learnt that the injured persons had already been shifted to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital. At the hospital, two injured men, Mohan Lal (42) and Virender (47), both residents of K-250, JJ Colony, Wazirpur were found admitted with injuries.

During enquiry, police learnt that the incident took place near Mata Park, also known as Pathwari Park. Officials said Sahil, also known as Natwala or Lala, along with his associates allegedly assaulted the victims following a quarrel.

Police said swift action by the team led to the arrest of all four accused within an hour of the incident.
