HK Dua, former Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune, laid to rest; J&K ex-Governor NN Vohra leads tributes
HK Dua, who led Hindustan Times, Times of India, Indian Express, and The Tribune, passed away at a Delhi hospital on Wednesday
Illustrious journalist, parliamentarian, and mentor to many, HK Dua was laid to rest in Delhi on Thursday, with condolences pouring in from family, friends, and admirers.
The last rites were performed at the Lodhi Road crematorium, with former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and President of The Tribune Trust, NN Vohra, leading the tributes to the former Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune.

Among those who paid their respects were former Union Law Minister Ashwani Kumar, senior editors and journalists including Satish Jacob, Shekhar Gupta, Ajoy Bose, AJ Philip, Harish Khare, and several public intellectuals.
HK Dua, who had the distinction of leading the Hindustan Times, Times of India, Indian Express, and The Tribune, had been ailing for several days and passed away at a private hospital in Delhi on Wednesday.
He is survived by his wife, Adity Dua; his son, Prashant Dua; Prashant’s wife, Charu Dua; and their daughter.

For many years, HK Dua had been donating his rich collection of books and journals to leading institutions and libraries, including the India International Centre and Ashoka University.
He served as Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune from 2003 to 2009.
