IPU admissions 2026: Deadline extended to April 30
University allows more time for national, merit applications
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGIPU) has extended the deadline for submission of online applications to its National Level Tests and merit-based programmes until April 30, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete the admission process.
The extension follows the earlier deadline of April 11, the university administration said on Friday. The move is aimed at enabling applicants who could not complete their submissions within the initial timeline to apply without haste.
According to the university, applicants have been specifically advised to select the correct programme and corresponding programme code, as errors at this stage could affect their candidature.
The admission process this year clearly distinguishes between different routes of entry. Separate procedures are in place for the Common Entrance Test, National Level Test, and merit-based programmes, and candidates have been advised to remain mindful of these distinctions while applying.
Importantly, the option to apply for programmes through the Common Entrance Test route is no longer available, effectively limiting current applications to National Level Tests and merit-based admissions. Applicants may refer to the official university website for detailed guidelines on eligibility, programme selection, and the application process.
The extension is expected to ease pressure on applicants and ensure wider participation in the admission cycle.
