Kejriwal urges UP CM to ‘guide’ Amit Shah on fixing Delhi’s law & order
In a critique of Delhi’s deteriorating law and order situation, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal mockingly urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to step in and guide Union Home Minister Amit Shah on how to restore safety in the national capital.
“Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath visited Delhi on Thursday. He is welcome here. We wholeheartedly welcome anyone who comes here from across the country,” Kejriwal said.
He said: “Yogi Adityanath raised a very valid concern that the people of Delhi fully support. He pointed out that law and order in Delhi has completely deteriorated. I agree with him 100 per cent, and so do the people of Delhi.”
Kejriwal said gangsters roam openly in the city. There were 11 major gangster groups that have divided the city into territories. “Extortion is being openly sought from traders. Traders are receiving phone calls demanding amount in crores, with threats of wiping out their entire families if the demands are not met. Gang wars are taking place on the streets of Delhi,” the AAP chief said.
The former Delhi CM said CM Yogi claims he had eliminated all gangsters in Uttar Pradesh. “If this is true, I will like to suggest that he sits with Amit Shah and explain him how law and order can be improved in Delhi. He should guide him and advise him on the steps needed to provide safety and security in Delhi.”
