The Viksit Bharat Society recently organised a programme at Kamala Nehru College (KNC), University of Delhi, to observe the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, with an emphasis on environmental responsibility. Principal Pavitra Bhardwaj highlighted the need for water conservation, citing Bundelkhand’s community-led water revival efforts, led by Uma Shankar Pandey, a Padma Shri awardee. Dean (Colleges) Balram Pani stressed the importance of personal responsibility towards the environment, and context-sensitive development.
