The Delhi Police Exhibition-2026 was inaugurated on Friday by Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena.
The exhibition has been organised as part of the celebrations marking the Police Week, which is observed alongside Delhi Police Raising Day. It aims to bring citizens closer to the functioning of the police force and strengthen public awareness and participation.
With the advent of the Nyay Sanhita, and the nation’s transition from a framework centred on “dand” (punishment) to one focused on “nyaya” (justice), the emphasis has shifted towards demystifying police stations and familiarising citizens with their roles. The initiative seeks to transform police stations from symbols of fear into institutions of support, transparency and accessible justice.
Designed as a citizen-centric platform, the exhibition showcases the functioning, technological advancements and community-oriented initiatives of the Delhi Police. It highlights focused operations such as Operation Milap, Operation Kavach and Operation Cy Hawk, demonstrating efforts in the recovery of missing children, crime prevention and cybercrime control.
The exhibition also displays trophies won by the Republic Day Contingent, reflecting the discipline, professionalism and national pride of the force.
To actively engage the public, especially children and youth, the exhibition features interactive games and activities aimed at spreading awareness about cyber fraud, cyber hygiene practices and key provisions of anti-narcotics laws. Paintings, poems and essays created by school children during their interactions with the Delhi Police are also on display, reinforcing the message that policing extends beyond enforcement to engagement and awareness.
A stall set up by the Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS), showcasing welfare products, has also been made available for visitors.
Addressing the gathering, Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said the Delhi Police Week was an opportunity to renew the force’s commitment to the people it served. He emphasised that increased dialogue between the police and the public strengthened security and added that Raising Day was also a time to honour the legacy of those who built the institution with dedication and sacrifice.
